My retired husband and I decided a few years ago to build a three generational home with 2 daughters and two grandchildren. This meant adding a lower level apartment and deck, and designing both of these to maximize the flexibility and use in all the areas of the house. In the case of designing and building the lower level living space, we required a 2 bedroom fully independent apartment with kitchen, laundry, separate entrance, and many other features. The entire plan was carefully thought out and designed to make it perfect for us. We cannot imagine being happier with the planning and building process, and especially the final outcome!
